For images in PICT format (filenames end in .pic), use the program NIH Image (in the MAC folder) to display on the MAC. For images in Stokes matrix format (filenames end in .stk), use the program Macsigma0 (in the MAC folder) to display on the MAC. For images in GIF format (filenames end in .gif), use the programs: Image4pds (in the MAC folder) IMDISP (in the PC folder) XV (in the SUN folder) to display. Other software display programs have been provided on this disk, including: Imagic, Imagery and Giffer (in the MAC folder) XV for INDIGO (in the INDIGO folder) Text files are also provided on the CD-ROM. Use Teachtext (in the MAC folder) to open files of type XXXXXXTx.txt. All other text files were created using Microsoft Word (v5.1) which is not provided on the CD-ROM. All programs are provided as is, and have not gone through a rigorous testing procedure.
