A number of Excel spreadsheets that perform radio calculations are in the "Spreadsheets" folder. Included under the "Geodata" are spreadsheets showing the latitude and longitude of locations around the world. 2. MiniNEC3, a DOS antenna modeling program from the public domain, is provided in the MiniNec folder. This program was developed by the U.S. Navy and can be downloaded from a number of sites on the WWW/Internet (in addition to being on the CD-ROM). Neither the author nor the publisher can support this program. Instructions on how to do MiniNec can be found in the ARRL Antenna Book, and from various sites on the world wide web. 3. Several software programs are provided. If an install folder contains a "16" then the program will run on Windows 3.x and Windows 95/98/NT machines. INSTALL1 (Radio-CD): This folder contains all of the material that was on the CD-ROM for Volume I. INSTALL2 (DBM): Calculates double-balanced modulator products. INSTALL3 (LOOPS): Calculates the parameters for loop antennas. INSTALL4 (ANTLERS III): Calculates the dimensions of a number of different antennas. INSTALLATION: Windows 3.x Machines (16-bit versions only): 1. Click on "Files" 2. Click on "Run" 3. Browse to find the Install directory of choice. 4. Select Setup.exe and double-click. Windows 94/98 Machines (all): 1. Click "Start" button 2. Click "Run" 3. Browse to find Install folder of choice 4. Select Setup and click Note: Close ALL OTHER PROGRAMS before running Setup.
