# Oosterbeek Operation # Oosterbeek Rail Bridge This area is the key to your rescue and your escape. The bridge should have been secured in the Arnhem Bridge Operation. Your position is surrounded by German forces. If you retreat from here, your troops will be captured. # Oosterbeek Cauldron The southern half of Oosterbeek is your next objective. It is critical that you hold the central area and maintain a strong position until XXX Corps arrives. If your men in the Arnhem Bridge Operation do not hold the Rail Bridge, you will not have the option of retreating. The operation will end if you have to fall back. # Oosterbeek North The key to defending the bridgehead north of the Rhine is to establish a strong perimeter. Fall back slowly and hold the bridgehead against all counterattacks. # Oosterbeek Landing Zone You must hold this area. The landing zone is your primary supply source until XXX Corps arrives. Your task will be difficult as you will face increasingly large German forces and the terrain is very poor defensively. Brace for a large assault if Arnhem falls as the Germans will get more troops and try to push you back to the river. Keep this area clear as long as possible. Do not let the Germans establish a foothold on your landing zone and staging area, or you will find your troops running low on ammo, food, and morale.
