^To forstall certain questions that might arise during play, we present the following
^tidbits:
^* Native Americans did interact with mammoths for thousands of years. That these giant 
^  mammals died out well before the scenario starts shouldn't cause too much concern if
^  you consider the possibility of domestication.
^* Experts have recently given serious consideration to the idea that early Americans 
^  might have used large hot-air balloons. The existence of such balloons would help
^  answer the age-old question of how these people managed to create the giant Nazca
^  lines, but the experts also cite evidence to substantiate this hypothesis: the forms
^  of balloons appear in wall drawings in nearby sites, and finely woven cloth dated to
^  the same period seems capable of holding hot air.
