^In the year 560, the Emperor of Great Kesh sent out the call
 for one in three. Fully a third of all peasants between the
 ages of 16 and 30 were commanded to gather in the capital of
 their province and gather arms for a war that would bring great
 honor to the Empire of Great Kesh.

^So the peasants came and boarded ships and went to fight the evil
 Empire of Novindus. En route, however, they discovered that the
 Emperor of Great Kesh was the real evil--that they were to be
 discarded as shock troops. There was no honor in attacking with
 obsolete matchlock muskets.

^After nine years of war and death, all the Emperor of Great Kesh
 had to show his people was two captured cities and hundreds of
 thousands of dead peasants from each province. Outraged at the
 deaths, four Keshian provinces rebelled, vowing to avenge their
 people. And so began the fall of Great Kesh...
